Betting tips and predictions for August 20. Our betting tips for today are focused on Premier League.
Watford v Chelsea
Watford started their season with a 1-1 draw away at Southampton, with Watford taking the lead in the 1st half, but then conceding early in the 2nd half, but Watford holding out even after having a player sent off to secure a valuable point.
Chelsea meanwhile started their season with a 2-1 home win over West Ham, with Chelsea dominating most of the match but only breaking the deadlock thanks to a penalty at the start of the 2nd half, and then despite Chelsea still giving the generally stronger performance Chelsea conceding in the 77th minute, but Chelsea just managing to grab a late winner in the 89th minute to claim all three points.
Watford will have home advantage for this match, and Watford if they give a determined defensive effort may be able to make this a close match potentially, however Chelsea do have the greater ability and form recently, and I think if Chelsea give a strong attacking effort in this match that Chelsea should be most likely to get a close away win here, with Chelsea at somewhat reasonable value at 4/5 to get an away win here probably.
Tottenham v Crystal Palace
Tottenham Hotspur got started with a 1-1 draw away at Everton, with Tottenham conceding early in the 1st half, but then improving after the break and equalising early in the 2nd half, but Tottenham while performing better in the 2nd half having to settle for a point in the end.
Crystal Palace meanwhile begun their season with a 0-1 home loss against West Brom, with a quite close game but Palace getting punished with West Brom getting a winning goal in the 2nd half just over fifteen minutes before the end of the match.
Here for this match Tottenham will have home advantage, and Tottenham with better ability if they build on the positive aspects of their recent performances should have a good chance at home here, though Palace while suffering from a poorer start to the season, Palace can still be capable of some reasonable performances at times and if they defend determinedly could make this a closer match potentially, however I think overall that Tottenham as long as they don’t underestimate Palace, that Tottenham with home advantage and better ability should be able to get a home win most likely if they give a good attacking performance here.
